Edit: the past few years to me it seems like there's been a pattern of fairly uninteresting releases the first six months, then a number of exciting titles the second six months. Maybe that pattern is occuring here (though GoW and Alpha Protocol break it). Plus the weather is warming up in the USA, so more people outside instead of gaming.
Most GOG releases don't interest me personally, but at the same time I'm pretty specific about the games I want to buy. (I've been able to hold off on buying anything on Steam for years now.) Much of what I want to buy is with big-name/AAA publishers who unfortunately don't want to bother with GOG, plus many of the games were heavily based around licensed properties. A lot I could get on "abandonware" sites but I'd pay for GOG releases, assuming reasonable prices of course.
